1 BILLION BEERS

LAST UPDATED — 3 SEPTEMBER 2026

Terms of service

These terms govern your use of 1 Billion Beers, operated by Tally Sport Ltd (company number 17211362). By using the app you agree to them.

1. What 1 Billion Beers is

There is one number. You photograph the beer in front of you, it goes up by one, and other people can like what you posted. That is the whole product. There are no followers, no comments, no messages and no personal score. The app is free.

2. Your account

We will email you when we need to: a magic link when you sign in, and the occasional thing you have to know — a milestone, or a change to these terms. We will not send you marketing. Notifications on your phone are separate, they are off until you turn them on, and there are exactly two of them.

3. Content you post

4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content

There is no tolerance here for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Breaking this means the post is removed and your account may be permanently banned. Do not post anything that:

5. Reporting and moderation

Every beer in the feed can be reported, from the card itself. Reports go to a moderation queue that a person reads. We aim to act on every report within 24 hours — removing the post, and suspending or banning the account behind it where that is warranted.

A reported beer stops resolving by shared link straight away, before anyone has ruled on it, because a link travels outside the app and keeps working for years. It stays in the feed until a human has looked, so that one tap cannot pull a beer out of everybody's feed.

You cannot like your own beer, and attempts to manufacture likes or counter movement are grounds for removing the account.

8. Privacy

What we collect and what we do with it is set out in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

The 1 Billion Beers name, design and code belong to Tally Sport Ltd. You may not copy, modify or redistribute the app or its contents without permission. Photographs posted by other people belong to them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tally Sport Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising out of your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid us, which is nothing — the app is free.

11. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen; your beers, your likes and your profile go with it. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms. What happens to your data on deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email, and you may be asked to accept them again. Carrying on using the app after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
